Ask Me About
There are a lot of blogs out there with a lot of smart (well mostly) people sharing smart things. So what do I have to offer? Here are some things I think I’m well qualified to talk about:
- Running an IT Department and managing technical staff
- Managing a technology infrastructure
- Plus and minuses in the worlds of Mac, Windows and Linux – I know quite a bit about all 3
- How to implement technology in schools – I’ve implemented a huge variety of technical solutions in schools from from switched networks to SmartBoards to custom software to virtualized servers and everything in between
- How to integrate many different systems – I’ve spent way too much time connecting the leg bone to the hip bone.
- Ideas on teacher professional development in technology – While anyone claiming to have “figured out teacher technology PD” out is probably lying, I’ve done my fair share of technology PD. I have a good sense for what tends to work and, more importantly, what doesn’t
- Teaching computer science – I have my undergrad in Compsci, currently pursuing Masters in Software Engineering and taught AP Compsci for 8 years
- iPhone vs Blackberry Storm – I have both! (Don’t ask)
And, of course, while I feel qualified to talk about the above, I also love talking about:
- Anything technology – especially collaboration, software development and gadgets
- Anything education
- Creativity, innovation, design and media
- Mountain biking, running, orienteering
- My wife and kids
And that’s that! I’d love to chat. Feel free to contact me.
